“This ethereal track is equally thought-provoking and calm. With light vocal articulations that blend seamlessly with the decadent vocal delivery, this will have you chilled-out and wistful in no time. I really liked the way the instruments are slightly surprising in this one, with subtle jazzy chord changes that are just slightly different than more typical progressions that you might hear on the radio. It feels a lot like dawn or dusk — one of those quiet times when the sky is bursting in color and the world is quieter. Listen to this one on your next hiking trip, or even just when you need to find some peace and quiet in your own backyard. ”

Angela Begin is a singer-songwriter, radio show host, and music educator based between Treaty 6 Territory (Edmonton) and Tiohtià:ke/Mooniyang (Montreal).
Her creative practice is informed by the natural world, and the themes of spaciousness, temporality and transformation. Angela’s songs and writings are meditative and self-reflective explorations about home, mutability, migration, and interrelationality. Influenced by Joni Mitchell, Adrianne Lenker and Bon Iver, her songwriting emulates the layered, spirallic and multi-perspective nature of memory and storytelling.
With notable 2026 performances at McGill's Lilith Fair Festival in Montreal, The Heatley in Vancouver & The Mint in Victoria, Angela Begin's live performances feature soaring vocals, unconventional chord progressions, an energetic band, and rich lyrical imagery that leaves listeners' feeling re-rooted and re-energized. Angela has shared stages with emerging canadian singer-songwriters such as Fionavair, Steeple, Palomine, NIIVI, Elbow Kiss, Esther Forseth & Tayler Grace.
Angela graduated with Great Distinction from Concordia University of Montreal in 2024 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music.
